The Trees in Winter

This looks a bit more like fall than winter and the temperatures were more like spring today. The beech leaves usually hang on all winter and provide a bit of color in the otherwise grey and brown landscape. SOOC. The Pond in Winter in my main album: http://365project.org/falcon11/365

I don't think I've seen any beech down here - only ones that keep their leaves here are some of the oaks. Get to rake them in April! Nice lighting to show the different tones and details in the leaves.

The ribbed patterns on the leaves add a variety of shapes as well as color. This is a nice little nature lesson.
