May Words - Limerick by farmreporter

May Words - Limerick

The moon's my constant mistress,
And the lovely owl my marrow;
The flaming drake
and the night crow make
Me music to my sorrow.

This great poem about madness, "Tom O'Bedlam," circa 1615, is written in limerick meter:

I cheated and googled examples of limericks to find one that I could use to photograph an illustration for today's word of the month.

Lucked out with just a hint of cloud cover over tonight's near full moon.

What a gorgeous moon photo. Far from madness, I see peaceful calm.

Beautiful shot! I have appreciation for these kind of photos because I love the moon and the iPhone has its limitations. Fav.
