December Words - Sand / Snow

We are in the cold part of the Northern Hemisphere so this is the snowy part of the word.
This is the shot I used for the double exposure I used with Prince. You can see how I used the grass in the centre of this photo to fill in Prince's face and how the area around it with just snow managed to frame around his muzzle.
And then there is the dark parts in the upper corners than 'framed' him nicely.
Here is the double exposure shot if you are interested to see how it fit together:

Got lucky with this one!
My get-pushed challenge to you Wendy, should you choose to accept it, is a photo done with the Orten effect. Now anymore this is usually done with post-processing. I'm not sure if this is something that you do. Check out sites that discuss the Orten effect and if you don't think this is something you can do, let me know and I'' select another challenge for you.

@randystreat
What a great challenge, Kathy!
I checked out the Orton effect and there are quite a few ways to do it.
I can do it the way Orton himself did, by taking two shots - one sharp and one out of focus to blend together.
I can do that ... focus stacking is easy!

Well, Jackie ...
I do find photo stacking a lot of photos together fairly simple with Lightroom and Photoshop since both just require you to push some buttons and the programs do the work.
I guess the difficulty comes with getting good shots that will focus stack together.
I have focus stacked 8 shots with success.
I use a tripod and timer so I do not move the camera when tripping the shutter. From there it is all Lightroom and PS!
But that is where my PS and LR skills end. I wish I could do layers, masking, compositing and such. But, alas - these are skills I do not have!

@farmreporter @randystreat my get pushed from Kathy was focus stacking- I've learned much from this, mainly 40 is far too many!!! Yes the process is easy, as Affinity does it all and it's easy to 'iron' out any fuzziness at the edges.

Masking and layers took me all of lock down to learn, yet to master them!!

@farmreporter @30pics4jackiesdiamond Yeah, I think that the multiple photos with multiple focus points is where I start to think it's fussy.
