We got to Thunder Bay early and decided to stop there because the roads were so horrid. But - that gave us enough time to go exploring around the town.
This is the dock at Mission Island Conservation park with the Sleeping Giant in the background. I kept it for the landscape portion of the flash of red challenge along with my February word.
is all of that between the walkway and the Sleeping Giant frozen? Surely not! I am not surprised you needed to stop. I love the silhouetted trees here and the light shining through them.

The lakes in Canada usually freeze over in the winter and the snow accumulates on them so this is not unusual. Had to stop for road conditions on the highway - lots of snow and freezing rain made them very treacherous. We only made 350 kms in 8 hours that day so decided to stay put and give the road crews a chance to clean them up a bit before continuing on.
