On the tourist trail by fishers

On the tourist trail

We (me and Dad) and several hundred others decided to have a walk around the city walls today as there's finally been a break in the cold weather. Here's a shot looking along the outer side of the wall. In a few more weeks there might be some daffodils out along the bank which would make a very different picture! - Lucy
Looks very familiar as the walls of York, bet is was busy today

Once the daffs. are out this would make another nice picture and I'm sure in your family will take picures of it. Nice PVO and looking at greener grass where you are.

Nice angle on the wall Lucy, as well as your explanation. Can the wall be traversed all around? And, how long does it take to walk the wall??

A nice view of the wall and slope. Can't wait to see the daffs

@bobhuegel Thanks Bob. You can get round the whole thing, though it's not a continuous circle because the river runs through one part, and it never was complete because of that. It's in 4 sections really. You just come down some steps and carry on up the other side of the road. There are 4 bars, two of which have museums in. It's about 2 miles all the way round, but if you're taking pictures at the same time, it can take a while to get round! - Lucy
