Waiting for a Train by fishers

Waiting for a Train

Last Wednesday I had to make an emergency visit to my mum - she had a fall on Tuesday and had been in hospital overnight, so I was on my way to look after her for a few days.

I took a number of photos of the railway station in York while waiting for my train, but I particularly liked this shot of the arch with a family group sat on a seat on platform 3. I love the colour of the yellow brickwork.

This shot made me wonder about the journeys that others there were making. Where were this family going? - on holiday, visiting friends, a family emergency? I don't know, but it's fascinating to speculate about fellow passengers!

Finally a big thank you to all those who sent good wishes for my mum. Although she collected a few bruises and was shaken by her fall, she is now feeling much better.

I like it too, it's like look through the door of a story book.
