Princess Holly by fishers

Princess Holly

This is Princess Holly, my most recent knitted project for my granddaughter, Evelyn. Her favourite book is about a fairy doll and she also likes the television programme featuring this fairy princess, her family and friends.
( The pattern was in a women's magazine)
This made me smile! I love it, my "adopted' granddaughter loves fairies and dragons. This she would absolutely love! Very creative and lovely textures and most certainly fairy colours.

I'm sure Evelyn will love this. Princess Holly's features are lovely. I always find that this is the most difficult part of knitted figures

@zenna Thank you. This had the advantage of being quite quick to make.The pattern was easy to follow and I've kept it in case another fairy is needed. Katharine

@purplehaze12 Thank you. I decided to cut out pieces of paper for the features and pin them to the doll. When I got them about right I drew them an and then embroidered them. I've had disasters in the past that take ages to correct. Katharine

@fishers And ? did she.?
September 20th, 2013
@helixconcepts @pyrrhula Well, she does love her and took her to bed with her. Evelyn also took her to school when we went to collect Oliver. She helped her splash in puddles in the playground! We now know that the doll is washable and dries quickly in the airing cupboard
