17th Century Dutch Tiles by fishers

17th Century Dutch Tiles

I was very fortunate yesterday to be able to go and look round Bradenham Manor, on the outskirts of High Wycombe. It is owned by the National Trust, however it is leased out as a company for training and conferences so it is only open for a guided tour once a year, at the village fete. I took this rare opportunity to have a look round. (I have taken a picture of the outside of the house before seen here: http://365project.org/fishers/365/2013-06-02)

Most of the original features inside the house are long gone, however around nearly every fire place were these 17th century Dutch tiles, each depicting a story from the Bible. There didn't seem to be any order to the way they were placed but I thought they looked fascinating. It seems strange that so much has been lost but these are still here.
