Acorns by fishers

Acorns

I am staying with Louise at the moment and went for a walk between Walters Ash, where she lives, and the next village, Lacey Green.

I was so excited to see an abundance of acorns on the trees. It's not the sharpest of photos but I was shooting well above my head in a strong breeze.

As a child I was always told that fairies used the acorn cups to drink tea. Now I am grown up I tell that to my grandchildren and perpetuate the myth.

I can't post another one of Princess Holly yet ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2013-09-16 )

Great find, and even if it was way above your head, you still caught some great detail on the acorns. This is awesome.

@dolphin I'm glad I am not the only one to have heard this myth. It would be a shame if they disappeared. Katharine
