Staircase of fungus!

While on a little wander, Dad and I came across a tree stump with this very impressive fungus on it. I thought it looked a bit like a spiral staircase. It might be a fungus called 'Giant Polypore', but there are so many different types that I may be mistaken! - Lucy

Great find and capture of the trunk and the ``Elfenbankjes`` (Dutch = Fairy banches.) We`ve been to a heath field yesterday and shot some of my own.
