If you get off the Paris metro at Invalides in the 7th arrondissement, you very quickly come across these impressive statues which lead onto the Pont des Invalides. It's the lowest bridge across the Seine in Paris, and was built on the piers of a former bridge which had major structural problems. The current bridge has been there since 1855. It's quite an impressive way to get the the Champs Elysées. - Lucy
