I had a lovely walk through the Homestead Park with Ian. The Park is owned by the Joseph Rowntree Trust and is beautifully maintained by a small team of gardeners. There is always something new to see, whether it is a plant changing or new ones being planted. These berries on a tree caught my attention. I don’t think I have ever seen any this big before, each about the size of a cherry tomato. I’m not sure what they are as a look on Google showed several plants with similar berries but gave no indication of their size.
Such wonderful autumn color, Katharine! The leaves almost look like apples. I saw something similar at the Oregon Garden. It will be fun to see if someone can identify them.
@jonhen Thanks Jonathan. I thought they looked too berry like to be crab apples and the clusters didn't seem typical but they could be a different variety to the ones I usually come across. Katharine
