As I walked to work yesterday I noticed new graffiti had appeared on the pavement demanding that President Hollande step down, which got me thinking about the street art I see every day in my district. Clockwise from biggest picture:
'Ose comme Zlatan' - on the wall outside my bank. This is actually an advertising campaign for Nike sports products and means 'dare to Zlatan'
'Jour de colere, 26 janvier' - on the pavement demanding that the people go protest against Hollande (which they did on Sunday)
Van - you see these colourful vans a LOT! Saves getting a paint job I suppose.
'Hollande dégage' - 'Hollande get lost!' Another of the slogans from the protest that I found on the pavement.
Arrow sticker - This is on the wall opposite my building... I have no idea what it's for!
Graffiti - We also have the standard graffiti that most cities have to some level or another!
I guess the question is - is it art or hooliganism?

very interesting captures... here in South Africa, there is very little graffiti... when I was in Europe I couldn't Believe how much there was! I don't really like it... people are (in my opinion) taking liberties with what isn't theirs!
A great find, great pic.`s and a beautiful made collage of people `s art.
in Holland you can do it on special places with the permission of the owner. All others will be removed, most within a few days..
@monkeykid I would tend to agree with you Therese. When I lived in Geneva there was very little graffiti by comparison with what there is here in Paris! - Lucy
