Anyone who has seen the Louvre in Paris, even from the outside, knows how huge it is. It was originally the King's palace, but it was deemed too small so the Palais de Versailles was built to replace it. Now, it houses a massive collection of art, including the famous Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. But the true art, in my opinion, is the building itself. This particularly finely embellished room was stunningly attractive with sun coming in through the windows. - Lucy
This is lovely Lucy. I get 'culture fade' whenever I go to the Louvre so it's nice to be offered just a small piece at a time! I hope you enjoyed your visit.
