I'm not sure why, but the more urgent it is that I meet a specific arrival time, the more likely it is that the train will be delayed!
Yesterday I was on my way to my mums to accompany her to a chiropody appointment when my train cane to a halt about 2 miles north of Doncaster, giving me a chance to enjoy the view of the mist covered landscape at the edge of Bentley Common.
Fortunately the delay was only 10 minutes, so I was still in plenty of time to get my mum to her appointment.
Great result from the moving train. There's always a snow-ball effect when there's a delay. The more important the purpose the greater the delay 8-) Love the capture.
Thank you all for your generous and thoughtful comments, and for the favs. It's not very often I get a chance to get shots in fog and mist. We used to be affected a lot, living next to a disused airfield, but since housing development and an out of town shopping centre were built, the fog is much rarer.
