Situated close to the kiln is this pond, known locally as Pottery Pond. It's a haven of peace and quiet, despite being beside a main road and an extensive area of housing, although you can tell from the background that open country and woodland lies beyond the pond.
This shot was taken on a very calm day, and even the local ducks cooperated by not creating ripples, so I was able to get the reflections I was after!
