Nave of Bradford Cathedral by fishers

Nave of Bradford Cathedral

Standing at the west end of the church, this view is along the nave towards the chancel and altar. The nave is the older part of the church, with some of the stonework being around 500 years old, while the chancel and altar are amongst parts of the church built in the 1960s.

There are some lovely details. The pillars are beautifully carved, and above each pillar is a roof support in the form of a carved angel.

The older part of the building blends well with the more recent construction, despite the hundreds of years difference in their age.

Wonderful capture of that impressive interior. There's nothing other than rock art here in Australia that is anything like 500 years old.
