Liverpool Waterside has become quite a centre for public art. For anyone of a certain age, these figures will be well known - Paul, George, Ringo and John, (The Beatles) stroll towards Pier Head and the Mersey Ferry. They were in the vanguard of the Mersey Sound of the 1960s, and for some of us their music takes us back to a very different age.
This sculpture is a recent adition to the waterfront. It was unveiled on 4th December 2015 by John Lennon's sister, Julia Baird.
Other sculptures in the area include royalty, seafarers, emigrants and 'Superlambananas' (these may appear in a future post).
Thank you all for your comments and favs, which put this on the Trending and Popular pages - perhaps that reflects just how popular the Beatles still are!
