Lucy and her husband took their daughter to the London Aquarium a few days ago, and an excited little voice (age 22 months) kept saying 'more fish, more fish!". Lucy particularly liked this shot that she took of a jellyfish, so here it is.
The Atlantic Sea Nettle (Chrysaora quinquecirrha), also known as the East Coast sea nettle or US Atlantic sea nettle, is a species of jellyfish that inhabits the Atlantic coast of the United States. It's colour ranges from pale pink to pale yellow. Here you have a pink example.
Beautiful picture. I was stung by a jellyfish early this Summer and had to take antibiotics to help the stink heal. Still have the marks on my arm. Not an enjoyable accident I can tell you.
Thank you all for your comments and favs, which put this shot on the Popular Page. Lucy is thrilled by your response. It might even encourage her to post a few more shots on our family project!
