After quite a few dull grey and miserable days, we have today had beautiful sunshine, so time for a walk. After getting wet while we were out in the rain yesterday, this was quite a contrast.
This shot looks like a lovely rural scene. but appearances can be deceptive. This track is beside the main A19 road into York from the north. In the past it was a tarmac driveway linking the former Clifton Hospital site to a neighbouring NHS facility. Since the closure of the hospital nature has taken over and created this pleasant path through the trees. Yes, there is still noise from the road, but at least the view is rather nicer than looking at long lines of cars.
Beautiful wood and looking trough capture. love the lighting Fav.
The congrete is of the barrier construction. . Doors can be closed by any weather danger.
Thank you Pat. It does have a lovely rural look, but the main road runs alongside. Much nicer walking here that on the footpath beside the road at the other side of the trees on the right.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It was really nice to be out on a sunny day yesterday, and our walk today was equally nice. Sadly the forecast for tomorrow is rather wet.

Thank you Vesna - it is a lovely walk, even though it is close to a very busy road.
