Dimetrodon by fishers

Dimetrodon

Our next place in Sheffield city centre on the Bricktropolis 2022 trail is the Owen Building of Sheffield Hallam University, where this Lego Dimetrodon was found.

The original Dimetrodons were recognisable by their long tail and large sail-fin which was believed to have regulated their temperature.

This model consists of 45,013 Lego bricks, and it took 6 builders around 173 hours to complete. It weighs 318kg, has a height of 130cms, a length of 270cms and a width of 128cms

Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated.

Katharine really enjoyed her tour round these Lego sculptures and I was very disappointed to miss it. It is quite obvious that a lot of hard work and creative effort went into the Lego dinosaurs.
