There is always a challenge in keeping young children occupied in the lead-up to Christmas. Lucy and her children spent a day creating and baking the pieces for this gingerbread house, and the following day they put it all together, which turned out to be a challenge. The finished product could best be described as unstable. Still, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and Lucy learned more about making gingerbread houses.
Reminds me of our daughter Lucy who always loved making gingerbread houses at Christmas, she is now somewhat consumed looking after our first grandchild!
the fun and memories created in this project is outstanding - that is what Christmas is all about. Well done
its beautiful gingerbread house - stable or not, it is still standing and am sure it tasted just delish
Thank you all for your lovely comments. Lucy has already worked our what needs doing differently next year to make the gingerbread house better. Her children really enjoyed making it.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Sadly the gingerbread house began to colapse quite quickly, but I'm quite sure the children would have enjoyed eating it anyway!
