@helenhall Thanks. After a few more days I'll link to a wide shot and explain both it's purpose and location. I'd do it now but I suspect one of my followers will recognize it.
@helenhall There is no reason for the oval, though I can imagine someone saying 'It just needs something...'. It's part of 1 of 2 fabric 'ceilings' (actually light diffusers) between a skylight and a large oval display space at Musee de l’Orangerie in Paris. The spaces were designed by Monet and the Louvre’s head architect to display 2 LARGE scale works of Water Lillies by Monet. Link to Google Images, a few of which show the oval: http://bit.ly/2qAs9Pz
