Rivington Church. by gamelee

Rivington Church.

The church has no patron saint and is not named after a saint or martyr. Earliest documented referent to the church being in 1280.
Son may "old " churches around Lee . A lot of just simple churches with out pomp and ceremony attached to them ! A lovely b/w edit

Excellent image, Lee, I hope you did not linger too long during your outdoor exercise !!!

I like this view - how strange that it is undedicated... I would have thought that was unthinkable in the 13C.

Wonderful sunburst, with a great line leading me into the scene. There's something rather comforting about thinking of wandering around in this scene.
