Proud Parents

Another shot from over at the pond yesterday. I was surprised to see three different families of Canada geese over there. For the last few years the city has been doing something to destroy eggs laid in nests near the pond in an effort to keep the goose population in check.
This year they must have given up on the program, someone got lazy, or the geese have become more adept at hiding the nests.

This is a very nice image but I have to say, as a golfer, I’m not a fan of Canada Geese. They leave their calling cards absolutely everywhere. Our parks suffer the same fate. I wish our city would do something to limit their numbers.
