Hell is empty
and all the
devils are here.
...William Shakespeare
The Tempest
The sky is dark and eerie. It looks smoky and has an orange glow during the day. I stare at the sun because I can and then I have to remember not to. Sometimes the sun looks orange, just like the moon did tonight. You can smell the fire. Air quality is unhealthy to hazardous. Fire Departments are offering free masks. They have closed the schools in our area until after Thanksgiving. We have no rain in sight nor wind to blow the smoke away and the fire is still burning. 135,000 acres have burned with 35% containment. 7,600 homes have been destroyed. 260 commercial structures destroyed. The death toll is at 56 and many more are still missing. 27,000 people are homeless from the northern California Camp Fire. There have been fundraisers, donations and countless heroes.
