The True Meaning of Life

The true meaning of life
is to plant trees
under whose shade
you do not expect to sit.
...Nelson Henderson

This was an enormous reinforced tree in Emerald Bay State Park. It was filled with cinder blocks.

I read that when a tree that big starts to die or weaken in the trunk, due to burn out or insects, etc, they will fill it with cement to keep the main trunk from giving way. Photo taken in panoramic mode.
