But there's always a
first time for everything.

After feeding the squirrels and birds for a few years, I decided it was time to find a birdbath as well. I read that birds can die from lack of water, especially in the summertime. I started out with a bowl on a bench until I could find an actual birdbath that I liked. When I found this pretty ceramic turquoise one, I stopped looking. I bought it for a birthday present to myself in May.
When I walked outside last Monday, the bowl was on the ground in pieces. It was glued to a base that locks into the pedestal. The glue failed. I am not sure what happened.
Again, where is the video camera when I need one? I have seen Peanut Butter (neighbor kitty) trying to drink out of it but I am passing no blame without proof. Or it could have been a squirrel or a "no good very bad day" for Katniss. She has never broken anything or knocked anything off a table before...until the puzzle the same day as this.
I will get another birdbath of some kind and use this pedestal for a plant stand, gazing ball or other idea. This photo was taken after I received and set it up for the first time.
Such a beautiful birdbath and such a delightful colour, - what a shame it got broken , A lovely capture of Katniss sitting beside the birdbath , surely much too innocent to have caused such catastrophe ! fav
