I Like My Shadow

I like my shadow.

Stumpy, the short-tailed female brown squirrel, is getting ready for winter by eating more. Today she even visited me twice! I like the shadow of her stumpy tail on the fence.

I am wondering if she had more babies last month? They can have two litters a year…one in late winter/early spring and one in late summer.
