I admire you for doing this twice. Once was enough for me. I especially like your mountains and trees in the second painting. I love how all the paintings are so different.
Ok I had to look up "Pants" which are here in the states what you call Trousers. Now I understand. By the way I do not agree, for a first try they are quite good.
Well, I didn't get the title either until I realized you're talking Englishster English now. Am I going to have to translate everything I read from now on?! There are elements of both that I like. They seem to reflect different seasons in some ways - at least the mountains do. I can't critique since I have very few personal skills in this area. But I do know what I like.
not pants at all! the right one looks more like the thing. i don't know if i will be able to do this, especially this weekend as i am a writer this weekend (albeit a failed one looks like) but i won't try this right away. mountains and reflections are too difficult for me to do, i'm just getting comfortable with clouds. but i do have something easy which i can't get to until after i've written what i'm supposed to write. aces!
I never heard of any pants that fit this image. Cookies or biscuits kind of thing. I think they are both good. I like the way you have painted depth. I think very nice.
Well done! I can see the improvement in the second one. So, there is something.
You say they are both bad. Compared to what? To the tutorial? Compared to the tutorial, we're all in the same bucket. But you know what? We had fun. At least i hope every one had fun. Again: we suck, but we suck at cool stuff.
I think we're all going to improve if we continue practicing. And we shall do so as long as we have fun. It's not a contest. Oh yes, it is a contest: who has most fun.
Just learn by doing and see where you get.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond you've got a point there. It was not only once that i gave up exercising because i was so caught up with some paints and brushes... :)
The first one is fine- the second is the one I think is better and I think the trees are especially good in that one. What are you expecting? A watercolor to be as exact as a photograph? Are you are expecting to be a Monet after one or two practice sessions? You worked really hard to get the college degree- I think you can learn watercolor! And I think you are too hard on yourself too! Paint for the joy of it to begin with- not how well it turns out.
@serendypyty Too kind but appreciated @larrysphotos You are very generous and I am glad you figured out what I was trying to say! @tunia While that was not my intent I ended up doing that as well I think! I watched the tutorial and then tried to paint it from memory which may be why it looks so bad @eudora You are so generous! it means a lot to me! @30pics4jackiesdiamond (it is such a descriptive phrase!) Thanks for the positive comment snad maybe more fun than the gym! @randystreat LOL! No you are not but it seems to be the perfect way to say it is awful! Thanks bunches! @koalagardens You are probably right about that Katrina. I know I can be @wakelys LOL! Thanks Susan. Not a quitter so I will be hanging in there for a while! @geertje Thank you Geertje. Putting it all into the proper perspective! Thanks for setting me straight!
@louannwarren LOL! You are right! It is a British phrase that means something is rubbish and one of my pigmania friends is British so I have been practicing British English because of her.
In both your clouds are fluffy and your lake ripples in second one realistic and I love those reeds
Go on admit it, much more fun than going to the gym!!!

Don’t throw the paint brushes away? (Or in English - don’t Chuck em out).
