Special Treat by grammyn

Special Treat

The week was over way too quickly but Ruth packed a month's worth of experiences in that time for me.

Even as I left her wonderful country I was still treated like royalty. When I boarded the plane I was met by the head steward who told me I would be sitting in first class for this portion of my trip! Breakfast was a two course feast after which I was escorted to the pilot's cabin to meet them. It was such a special treat to be treated so nicely all because of my wonderful hosts.
That looks like a great breakfast! So nice to hear about your experiences! Three cheers for Ruth! Is that someone we know?

Wow, how fabulous, the above looks scrumptious - not my experience of airline food, but then I have never travelled first class - well on a train but that doesn't count:0)

@luvmynynix I think they don't even serve food on domestic flights anymore! A snack is about it! The trip was amazing!

@claireuk I have travelled first class a couple of times and the food is very similar and it, too, is served on real plates with real flatware and cloth napkins!

Amazing difference between first class, where you get real food on real plates and pretty much anything for beverage, and economy, where you get a small beverage and maybe peanuts, pretzels or a cookie!
