Rear Sync flash 1st attempts (3)

On the photo "to do" list....rear sync flash. I think this was the first technique challenge I read about when I started 365 three years ago...and here's my first attempt...three years later! It's like playing with Goldilocks...not too light, not too dark; not too close, not too far; not too fast, not too slow!....etc.

There must be a tag for these somewhere here on 365...if you know it, please let me know so I can see what's posted and learn from those! Thanks.
Never too late to experiment...I looked up rear sync flash and think you did great.

It's too late here for my poor brain to cope with this. I did Google it and it looks really interesting, must give it a go. Well done!

Great job. I found a few things where it's mentioned:

I only found three photos for rear curtain flash.

The shot is also "Ace". Not too late to try something different. Some things work somethings don't thats half the fun.

That is sooooo good!! Looking at subject, I'm sure Vikki won't mind me knicking her favourite term, ACES!!!

@bill_fe Thanks, Bill, for the references....I'm trying to do some of this in my make-shift "studio" before taking it "out-on-the-road"...The references do help!

@granagringa I use an ND filter to get the longer shutter speed when outdoors

@granagringa I use a variable ND. It's a generic brand I bought at a local camera store when I lived in Madison. It is similar to this one:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/813278-REG/Tiffen_77VND_77mm_Variable_Neutral_Density.html

Mine fits the largest lens I have, and I use step down rings to fit it to smaller lenses.
