First Rose by happypat

First Rose

I'm not a great gardener & our garden is a very country one eg climbers, shrubs & lots of trees but I couldn't resist photographing this the first rose of the year ! It is a David Austin Rose called Gertrude Jekyll & has a lovely old fashioned fragrance.
Lovely! I love the color and the petals fold so beautifully.

Beautiful! It is quite lovely. I love the color and wish I had a rose that had the old fashioned fragrance.

I'm not a gardener either Pat, but I do know that David Austin roses are top quality and highly sought after. This is a beautiful colour and lovely full rose.

Pat , a lovely Rose, looks great.

Don't be afraid to go in 'even closer' and get a really close up macro, you can get some fantastic images doing that :)
