Barnacre Cottages, Garstang

I took this photo SOOC like this but was also very tempted to use a colour select mode one that I also took showing the blue name & the rest black & white. In the end I chose this one purely because the contrasting colours of the greenery was so good ! These cottages are so pretty & are right on the High St in Garstang. This was also taken in the pouring rain yesterday but I'm not going out today.
It is a wonderful cottage, and color select would have looked great

Such a beautifully maintained cottage, must get a bit dark inside though with the tree/hedge so close. i can understand the need to clip it back to let the light in! What does the blue plaque say?

The word charming pops into my mind Pat - I know it's over used but this cottage really is completely charming. I love the greens too and the stone work in the walls.

@sabresun Sorry I should have thought to put on what it said !! The plaque says '' These early 18th century cottages, thatched until 1900 were once Garstang Lodging Houses. An old weind ran along side them '' At the bottom it has ''Lottery Funded'' We call the narrow little alleys that run from the High street to other parts of town ''weinds ''.
