I could show you lots of photos tonight from our agriculture show but have picked this one because it's the end of the show & perhaps our last one too. This is our table we sit at when all the judging is done & we can sit back with a glass of wine after a job well done. Dot & I sit here amongst the flowers & vegetables watching & chatting to people we know, & visitors to our area of Lancashire & it is a really sociable time. There is cake & wine for anyone who wants to sit & chat or rest their legs & we both enjoy this bit the best. All this week I will probably post some show photos but tonight it is this ..our table ! Thanks for being so interested every day & being patient with not many comments!!!!
@whippeteer Thanks Francis , the weather has been dreadful really all w/e but worse today than yesterday. No tractor Pulling today but I think the gate numbers won't be too bad & we might break even !
Great shot of the action center of the show, Pat. Glad the attendance was good despite the bad weather. I'll bet you're ready to sit back and take a well deserved break after all the work you put into this marvelous event.
Wonderful flowers and colour and you earned your 'sit back and enjoy' time after all the busy-ness and input earlier. I'm sure it will have been worth it!
Oh - looks gorgeous and I bet it smells marvellous too with all those sweet peas - it's at this point that your resolve not to do it again starts to slip!!
@judithg@digitalrn Have pretty much decided between us to give up next year if we get the offer of someone else doing it but wouldn't leave them in the lurch. We have been stewards in this marquee for 10 years now & we not getting any younger so if the chance comes we will take it. The trouble is with these volunteer affairs is none of the younger ones have the time or desire to run these things & the whole of the committee are getting older.. we shall have to see what happens!
