I have never ever seen one of these places before. This one is in Ashburton where number one son lives but there is also one in Taupo where number two son lives!
Shelves & shelves of chemist stuff….jumbo bottles of vitamins among them.
It was the size of an Aldi store here.
I also saw a shampoo shop in The Base at Hamilton……
I have a friend that has said go me 'Don't talk to me about Chemist Warehouse'.. she had a family member who owned a independent pharmacy that got swallowed by the big guys.
There are 2 in our neighboring town.. but our village still has the small chemist..
Yes, they are killing small town pharmacies. Fortunately ours is still going as it’s located right next to the surgery. We can choose to have our prescriptions sent to the Chemist Warehouse though. I avoid shopping at them
We have Chemist Warehouse here too. Not as big as this one but packed with 'chemist stuff' Personally I am not a fan. Rows and rows packed to the gunnels. I find it too busy, and it takes ages to find what you really need. Not good with 'busy' shops. I like things neatly displayed and spread out. ha ha.
A wonderful place for a hypochondriac to shop !! (sorry that was with tongue in cheek!! ) I suppose it is good to have the variety available under one roof , but hope they do not kill the smalltown pharmacies !
@beryl I said to Brian that his dad would love this place! He is very fit but does like a good look round all the so called healthy meds, vitamins etc! 🤣🤣😘

We use our chemist pharmacy side for advice too…..I doubt the warehouse will have pharmacists there or do they?
