The tail end of Hurricane Katia arrived today & it is very windy outside...too windy to hang the washing out !!!
It has been a great challenge to me as I was determined to take a photo showing an example of the wind. Easier said than done .. I have been outside , camera in hand trying to take a speed effect photo eg fast shutter speed ? After about 30 shots with several trips back into the house to read up my notes from camera class this is the best I can offer !!!
I am quite pleased with it overall but it has taken a bit of doing !!
Fantastic capture of your windy day! Your notes from class served you well, Pat. Hope Katia limits her effects to some good photo opportunities and you don't suffer any major damage from the storm. Crazy weather everywhere this year!
That's a really clever shot! I know exactly what you mean about having to keep referring to your notes! I keep going back to the manual - but by the time I've got the hang of it, the photo op has gone!!
Well you are one determined lady, Pat. Just loved your story . .sounds like something I would do. Come back into the house and "read the notes from camera class!" Love that! It's a great picture . . SO worth the time and effort!
What a fabulous idea to show off the force of the wind Pat. I have a cousin in Ireland and I noticed on Facebook that they were preparing for the hurricane. I guess it was the same way? How did you finish up?
