Henrys new house

An update on Henry.
When our #1 son came back on holiday in the Spring from NZ he took pity on Henry & built him a shelter. The winters are long & he is getting on a bit now ...in his 8th year. Henry has very decidedly avoided it up until now but when I went past the field this morning he was testing it out! Brian will be thrilled when he hears & as it was a lovely warm quiet Autumn day I was surprised myself !
You can see the original photo with henry's story on last June 22nd post . Sorry I can't seem to copy & paste it !
hope Henry enjoys his new house

Oh, what a sweet shot of Henry warming up to his wonderful new home! Love this photo! Marvelous textures and touches of color. And such a kind gesture on Brian's part to build this shelter for the aging Henry!

Brian will be so happy to see that Henry has warmed up to his new home. Nice processing here, Pat. Love the touches of color with the b&W and the subtle vignetting.

Tis sunday and some time to turn on this tired old machine much like me..sigh...on a minor point notebooks are all well and good..but....they do not do justice for pictures the big wide screen is a bliss....as an update the mushroom and things has been cleaned off by some old lady with her proverbial hanky shame really, i liked it.
henry looks peaceful nice piccy too the way this coalition is going all oldies will end up with henry....you had better build some more...ha ha..

That was nice. He looks like he feels at home there, and I'm sure he will be glad for it this Winter

@tsingtao Wow tsingtao you always make me laugh so much ...it must be your dry northern humour, us northerners must be tuned into the same wave length !!! Thank you for your comments & you get some more photos on 365 !!!!!

@shutterbugger I thought that was the link but it doesn't seem to want to play !! Never mind they will have to use the calender !! Thanks Jenn !

September 25th, 2011
henry looks very happy.
September 25th, 2011
Well, isn't he something!!! I think that Henry enjoys his new "digs!" What a lovely photo, Pat. Love the colors and contrasts!
September 25th, 2011
Try deleting the "> and I think it will work Pat. I love your Henry shots and I'm glad to see his trademark text on there! Sounds like Brian is a bit of a softy!! How long to sheep live when not destined for the table? I love a bit of lamb but Henry is gorgeous enough (almost) to make me give it up!!

I fell in love with Henry back in June and have just gone back and fav'd him. Glad to see he's enjoying new lodgings.
September 25th, 2011
Henry looks positively smitten with his new digs!

Great shot Pam, he looks all cosy! I remember the original shot - he's a great looking sheep (or should I say cow???!) (Judith is right, you need to take away the "> off the end of the link string)

nice use of B/W and selective colouring Pat :)...:)
September 25th, 2011
@judithg @sparkle Thank you both I will try that !! I too love a bit of lamb but it won't be this one !!! I have no idea how long sheep live , will be interesting to see & he is still in good health !!
September 25th, 2011
@judithg I did try must I must have done something wrong as it deleted the whole of the text !!!!! Have had to rewrite it ! Will have to ask Jack what I am doing wrong next time he comes !!!
September 25th, 2011
@barbsmith Thank you Barb ! I have been surprised how many of you have remembered the original story !
September 25th, 2011
@arayofsrqsun I definatly think he is smiling Tina !
September 25th, 2011
@digitalrn Thank you Phil I did the colouring like that as it was Henry didn't stand out much against the background so I just jigged it a bit !
September 25th, 2011
@robinwarner @jmj @stepheesue Doesn't he look good sitting there & we are so glad he has finally sat in it !
September 25th, 2011
Henry looks good! He's happy with his family))))) Nice and also touching photo)
September 27th, 2011
aaah he does look happy Pat (pardon the pun) I like the selective colouring and the wording reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.....owls howse!
September 27th, 2011
Henry looks quite happy with his new house. Is he in need of shearing, looks to have a lot of wool on him. The wire twitshed up on the sides of his shelter look a lot like the way we do it here. We call it a cobb&co.

Wow, all mod cons, with easy access to food, even a sloping roof. Now that's luxury. :)
September 28th, 2011
Cute photo...pleased he has seen sense.
September 28th, 2011
@lornavale No Barbara , he was shorn in June of this year so won't be done again until next year now . We only shear once a year in this country !
