Blackpool was a bit windy this afternoon but lovely & fresh for a walk. I had been to change something at M&S so just did a little detour onto the front. This is North Pier in the distance.
The sea gulls were swirling around & as I sat on the step down to the beach I could feel the sea spray on my face ! This photographer with his large lens was taking pictures but I thought I had better not go & sit beside him !!!!
Love the pov and color of this, Pat. Great time and place to walk. Hey . . maybe it would have been fun to sit by and talk with the other photographer!
Oh I do miss the sea.......having grown up beside it and always been close to it at holidays!
Never mind will get good dose of it soon......hols on Friday!
Fabulous capture Pat - I can feel that salty spray on my face. You are certainly equal to any photographer and his big lens - his photo couldn't have been any more impressive than this one.
It's lovely how how the sea and promenade look so beautiful yet the brashness and tackiness of the Blackpool are just behind you (not that all of Blackpool is tacky ...it does have it's good points......but you know what I mean Pat....it's a tremendous contrast from this scene to what is behind you)
@phil_howcroft Can you see all the new promenade Phil ,it is quite stylish ? They have been working on it for months & the improvement is tremendous ! You are right though behind the prom is the usual collection of seaside tack & 'kiss me quick'' stuff but I don't think I would change that really ..it is Blackpool & quite fun !!!
Hi Pat, small world, and I am sure that photographer was still there 2 hours later, he had just moved up to the bus stop. Was it windy that day or what?? Up until last month I had never been to Blackpool, it was quite an experience. Who knows might bump into each other eventually ;o)
