Well I'm back from my holidays & must say have had a wonderful time spent with family & newish grandson. Max has grown into a real little boy now, rushing around & having fun...how that little baby has developed since I saw him last year!
It has been quite nice having a little break from 365 & I did toy with the idea of not continuing again but after a good nights sleep I changed my mind !
This is a photo of Anthony,Jo & Max's farm in NZ. The house is in the background & buildings in the foreground. The orange soil is where they have leveled the top of the plateau to extend the parking area & to add an extension to the house this summer. It is certainly a lovely spot to live & a wonderful place to hang the washing out !!
You will probably be seeing quite a few of my holiday snaps in the next few days as I am not in photo taking mode yet !! That is the advantage of the second year you can bend the rules a bit I think !!
I have missed looking at all your lovely photos over the last three weeks !!!
Welcome home Pat! So glad you had a nice trip and that you've decided to stay with us! Looking forward to seeing all your NZ shots! This one is gorgeous...what a view!
@shutterbugger Thanks Jen... I didn't realise how much I missed this site til I went to upload & then reading these comments & thinking ''ahh'' I have missed this little community of friends !!
We've missed you, Pat. And all the sunshine that you bring to us with your lovely smile. Welcome home. Your daughter and family, do indeed, live in a beautiful home and surroundings. Lovely composition. I will enjoy any photos that you post. Again. . welcome back. :)
@karenann Hi Karen , such lovely words, thank you very much ..no wonder I came back !!!! This is my youngest son & family's house, I have two sons in NZ & fortunately a lovely daughter just five miles away. !
What a lovely view of the farmstead, a great place for your grandchildren to grow up. glad you enjoyed your stay I expect it went by very quickly. I was so pleased to see your comment I have missed you Pat
@cleanfreak@sarah19@snowy Thank you for all the ''missings'' !!! & lovely to see all your comments again !!! It was certainly a fabulous place to live in & such a glorious place for Max to grow up in although they don't plan to stay there too long as would like to expand !
Hurrah!!! Hello Pat - it's great to have you back we've really missed you and your photos!! Glad you had a fabulous time! I know what you mean about not doing 365 - it's quite liberating but on the other hand it's lovely to have the community as well and we'd be really sad if you didn't come back. Can't wait to see more of you holiday snaps - what an absolutely exhilarating place to live - almost as good as Lancashire!!
@judithg Yes I would say on a par with Lancashire Judith but a much more relaxed way of life which is why my family love it so much !!! Have yet to check with all your photos as I haven't seen your Marrakesh ones yet...too cold in the office for me today !! Glad to be back !
I missed you ! I'm happy you spent time with your family , but I need to spend time with you as well :) This looks like a lovely place to call home .....reminds me of Ireland, but with more trees .
@bpaquette Yes wonderful walks in this area but hilly !!!! NZ has had quite a wet summer for them so the fields were very green, great for farmers this year !!!
@jquinn A very simple lifestyle Janet which was very refreshing ! All home produced meat & of coarse wonderful fruits of all types too ! Have been checking out your house progress, how it's grown !!!
Well Pat I am glad to hear you slept on your idea of quitting 365. this photo says it all. Wow, what a gorgeous view of the rolling hills. That place is gorgeous!
Pat.. so glad you are home, had a wonderful time and will continue with us.. I certainly missed you.. what a lovely place your son had... share as many photos as you would like!
