Before the rain. by happypat

Before the rain.

A glorious morning with hardly a cloud in the sky although a cold wind. Harry spent the morning planting three trees we bought recently...we have rather got a thing about trees at the moment & are very proud of our little wood we planted a couple of years ago.
This picture shows the wonderful colour of the Copper Beech trees ...no colour added only sharpened a little !

This afternoon it has returned to windy & wet weather !!!!
Such a wonderful place! beautiful looking tree too:)

Lovely colour these trees with the sun on them. Good job Harry used some substantial staking posts, to protect them from the wind. We can never have too many trees, Nice shot.

Gorgeous trees, Pat. Reminds me I need to do something about some trees in my garden. Have to replace one or two.

What beautiful trees these are! Love their placement on the property ... so pretty with the lighting and the shadows. Is that Harry working back there? I'm sure that it was alot of work putting these in ... not an easy task. Love this photo.

Lovely! And well done on planting trees!! The rest of the planet seems determined to chop down as many as possible.

I love copper beech trees. Jim and I planted one in Upstae NY when we were married as a wedding tree. It died. Thankfully our marriage didn't. We replanted a different one and it is doing fine...but thy sure grow low. Lovely color and composition

@happypat we are working up to the big 50! Hard to believe. Mostly I feel pretty young though my bummed up knee is preventing that in the moment!

I realise now that what I thought were young copper beech leaves in my photo yesterday must be ordinary beach leaves as these are really coppery already! Amazing colour especially backlit like this!

Glorious Pat - your own little patch of wooded area. Tim and I planted out a gorgeous "bush block" which we will be sad to leave when we sell. We love the trees and the bird life they attract. These are gorgeous coloured leaves.
