What a lovely end of the day shot! I love the longer days of summertime. But you are further north than we are and our daylight hours are somewhat shorter...we have daylight from around 6 am until almost 9 pm on the longest days of summer.
Beautiful and that's the North of England for you - more like 9.30 here. Top tip I got from ironing to Alan Titchmarsh (!) - if you get a shot like this and turn the aperture to more than f/16 (I think I tried f/21) you get a very defined starburst effect. You have to watch for the shot getting darker and the shutter speed a bit slow but it's quite fun playing!!
@judithg Ah thanks Judith must try that ..Alan Titchmarsh was in illustrial company last night with Prince Charles on the programme about Dumfries House. A man of all talents !!
really superb light in this Pat - some bright spark mentioned on the radio only less than 20 days til the days start to draw in....ugh! I could quite happily have a whole year of the light like this for so long in the day!
I didn't realize how much farther north I was when I was in Europe last week until I realized that I was tired before the sun went down...then looked at the clock. What lovely shadows in the grass! Feel better!
Sorry about mass thank you, you are all very kind !!! Coughing for Britain tonight so it's PJ's on now , watch the Apprentice & bed !!!!
