We had a surprisingly good display of sweet peas considering the atrocious rain we have had. The scent was wonderful as you stepped into the marquee & we always try & put them on the center stand as you walk in so that you can get the full impact.
I am really tired today & so glad we made the decision to quit while in front. I think there will have to be some changes next year & we don't want that at this stage off our show career!
I will get back to looking & commenting as normal on all your photos...I have had quick looks just to keep up with your comings & goings & not to miss anything!!
It is a very wet day here & so we are so grateful for that little slot in the weather we experienced this week end.
Fantastic display - I can smell them from here! I wish we had a good show nearby - I think I've missed Wimpole and there is a very narrow road in and out so it's always a trial getting there anyway - and it's not as good as a proper Northern show!!
I love sweet peas. My mother had them climbing on a big fence in her garden and in the Spring she would have bunches of them on the dining room table. I would have loved to have seen this display in person but your picture is simply beautiful. Thanks for posting it.
Makes me see red....... mine are still only 3' tall!! Must be your soil!! Lovely shot Pat, I'm just so happy it was such a well attended show, fantastic!
Absolutely gorgeous display of the sweetpeas, Pat! After lilacs, the aroma of sweetpeas is my favorite! And both of them are such "old-fashioned flowers!" Your show must have been awesome ... I am sure that these events are alot of work to set up and put together. Get some rest, Pat. And don't worry about comments. I'll be here .... waiting to see you great photos when you're ready to go again. :)
You have done so well with all your work at the shows!
