Oh my goodness...Happy, happy birthday to your precious little Max!!! What a fantastic tractor cake he has for his special day!! And it looks like he is quite excited about it all!! I know you wish you could be there with hugs and kisses for your adorable 2 year old grandson, Pat. Thankfully Christmas isn't too terribly far away...
@peggysirk Yes you are right Peggy & we talk to him on the phone lots in fact they rang last night as he was opening his presents. Better now he is beginning to talk more.
Happy birthday Max - it isn't two minutes since you posted his first! When he's a teenager he'll be moving in with you while he does his European tour!! He's going to be very excited to see you at Christmas!
@judithg I know doesn't time fly!! They all do OE in New Zealand so pretty sue he will be over but might not want to stay with us old codgers we'll be far too old for a young man to want to stay with us!!!!
@busylady He does look pleased doesn't he. Max has been to lots of two year old parties & never been allowed to blow out the candles until now so he was very excited when party time came.
Happy Birthday to Max!! That is such a lovely photo of the two of them .. they seem to grow up so fast, don't they Pat? The cake is beautiful ... would have taken me about six months and dozens of tries to achieve that perfection. lol And, no doubt, it must taste wonderful. :)
Hi, its Jo (hacking into Pat again), sure she won't mind! Thanks for Max's birthday wishes, we are very proud of our little man. Yes he will be staying with Granny on his OE as he thinks she is just the bees knees. Thanks also for the comments on the cake, loved making it. You have a lovely bunch of followers Pat.
@happypat / Jo ~ I think I know why your adorable little Max thinks his grandmother is the bees knees! I know she is counting the days until she sees that little guy at Christmastime!
@vickisfotos Thank you Vicky & it is hard when they are so little !! USA is so big so mums there must have to travel many miles sometimes to see family even though still in the same country!!!
one of my grandsons is 2 hours by plane or 18 hours by car...but at least there is SKYPE now...so we keep in touch and he now remembers me between visits.
@vickisfotos It gets expensive too but the main thing is the remembering! I talk to Max on the phone lots & think he does remember me although only 18months old when I saw him last. After we go this Christmas I'm sure he will remember me much better.
No wonder you feel far away.
Just to say that Jo was so pleased with all your lovely good wishes for Max as you can see by the reply above!
