A little bit of Ireland. by happypat

A little bit of Ireland.

This is my new painting I bought in Ireland when I was on holiday last month.
I have had it framed & it's on the wall in the kitchen beside the Aga & my new chair.
The gallery I bought it from in Kenmare is on the right.
It was just a simple water colour on a sheet of parchment paper but some of her work was selling at hundreds of pounds so I think to get an original piece at the price I paid I did well. I liked it because it was cheerful & colourful! Painted by Jo Anne Yelen

Three good things:
1.Going out for fish & chips tonight with friends so no tea to make.
2.The plumber has been this morning & fixed the leaking toilet cistern in the en suite.
3.I made some ginger biscuits so the tin is full.
Love this painting Pat!!! It will be wonderful to sit beside the aga and remember all the fun you had in ireland! Love your 3 good things.....

Gorgeous. I also try do buy things when I am travelling, like fabrics or painting, so that I have something to remind me of the holiday. Your picture is full of happy colours!

Some day I would love to see a panoramic view of your kitchen - I've tried to put together bits and pieces from your shots...all I know is it looks very very warm, welcoming, and cozy, and I am pretty sure you make everyone feel comfortable there!

I think the painting shows the difference between photography and paintings! We can't do that with the camera and that makes it special! Th entryway to the gallery is inviting - even though it was raining! I like the 3 best things so much, I'm going to go an edit my photos to include! Hope the fish and chips was up to scratch!

I played golf in Kenmare years ago. It was very wet! The more I read of your life the more I think that you could do more than 3 good things every day. It's the happy in happypat that gives it away :)
