Bang the drum! by happypat

Bang the drum!

I loved the old mellow stonework with elegant no nonsense windows. The morning sun on the fronts of these music shops contrasted with the rather dark of the shop fronts.

I know I am well behind with my commenting & to be truthful I have enjoyed the break from the daily uploading.....I hope I get back into routine soon!

Our daughter Cathy's birthday today so we are off out for a meal to celebrate tonight.
I also enjoyed the liberation when my telephone line was down!! This is great such basic signage!! Well spotted

Love the architecture contrast and the signs on the stores. You don't see many "violin and drum" stores around here. How beautiful that violin shop looks. With my camera in for repair, I am beginning to like the "no pressure" bit of having to shoot a photo everyday. All of a sudden I seem to enjoy the freedom of visiting with someone, talking with the children, going to shops, spending time at the library, etc. All with no stress to get home and upload photos. At some point, I feel that some (or even most) of us get burned out .... at least for a period of time.

@happypat @karenann I am just two days from 365 and seriously conflicted about continuing. Trying to figure out what would make sense for me, like maybe posting only two or three photos a week, or taking a break for the winter months and re-starting in the Spring. Need to decide soon.

Happy birthday Cathy!! A break is a good thing - I was really struggling for a while and took alternate days off - felt less like a prisoner and started enjoying it again!

@meisen325 and Pat! One of the most pleasurable things about 365 for me is the interaction between friends as well as seeing parts of their life in pictures! These pictures don't have to be the best photo or the most clever or skilfiull just a snippet of daily life! The pressure comes, I think in you not being satisfied with the quality of shots! Terry-@thendrix58 has a nice relaxed way of shooting and we have such fun together! I seek out your photos specially every day, Pat!

@karenann @meisen325 @judithg @maggiemae Well your replies are exactly the reason why I carry on !!!! Maggienmae you have said it in one & I know in my own heart that I will carry on as up until my little break I have enjoyed it so much....I can't think what has come over me, tired I think! I do try & comment on as many photos as I can so perhaps I should only comment on the photos that catch my eye in future? Will be interesting to see how I feel after 5 weeks in NZ !Thank you all for sticking with me & your lovely comments!!! We all have our favourites & the little list here every one of you are on mine! @ruthmouch @fannyb

Fabulous! Love the gorgeous stonework and wonderful lines in the windows. The fantastic signs are the icing on the cake of this marvelous composition.
I know what you mean about the whole 365 routine...the photo taking, downloading, editing, uploading to 365, narrations and commentary ~ keeping up can get overwhelming. But I just love the people I have come to know in this community...so I keep plugging along as best I can. Best not to put too much pressure on oneself to be perfect with it so as to keep it fun. :)
Happy birthday to Cathy!
