I took this shot blind in the garden centre today.
I had the camera round my neck switched on & sneakily took photos. This was the most interesting but unfortunately I cut Father Christmas's head of!
I loved the way the little girl was holding out her hands!
They have a wonderful farm shop where I buy my bacon & black puddings. Today they were giving tastes of chocolate cake spread with cherry jam & clotted cream....simply delicious!
Three good things:
1. A good pummeling by the Physiotherapist on my sore neck.
2. Rice pudding for tea, hopefully with plenty of golden brown skin...the best part!
3. A new CD ordered from Amazon yesterday...Friar Alessandro -Voices from Assisi.
What a good idea and then you won't know until you get home if you have anything worthwhile!! Poor Father Christmas having to sit there until the end of December!! Stupid garden centre, is this the same one you featured earlier this year with something untimely, the Jubilee I think!!
ahd I though father Christmas was busy in his workshop.! These candid shots are always good fun. Well done.!
Friar Alessandra has a beautiful voilce. Enjoy the CD.
This is hilarious - and if the kids are scared of Father Christmas they can try the lady on the right!! Black pudding - mmm - yummy!! Well I'm definitely not going near the garden centre if this is what I can expect - and I think this is much more tasteful than ours.
@fannyb Yes Fanny the very same, it was so colourful today that you could hardly make out any detail so I had to dilute the photo a little. I jibbed at having the camera up to my eye but it was quite interesting finding out what I had got!
@judithg There were lots of elderly folk sitting on all the spare seats, it was just heaving, must have been a coach party in. You would love the farm shop, delicious cakes, meat & every type of goody you can think of....I must take a few pictures for a collage.
Looks very American! Ps... I don't like that skin on rice pudding but I love rice pudding...I made it for my Japanese family as a treat and they were horrified and refused to eat it! My son explained rice was never used as a dessert!
@maggiemae Hehe how funny & I suppose it makes sense , they eat rice as a savoury after all. We had the pudding tonight, was delicious though I say it myself!!! Harry never used to eat the skin but now we fight over it!!
@ruthmouch It was the expressive use of her arms that caught me too! This was a very full on colour shot which swamped the figures so I cooled it all down a bit Ruth.
very cute! candids are fun, but you never know what your are going to get when you shoot blindly...I think it is fun..and sometimes, like this one...you get a really cute one!
Wonderful capture, Pat. Even the little girl seems to be holding her arms out as if to say, "What, already"? I've been seeing Christmas popping up at retail stores since the middle of September. I feel totally beat down by the commercialism by the time December 25 arrives.
Friar Alessandra has a beautiful voilce. Enjoy the CD.
Nicely captured!
