This little bird must be at least 30 years old. It has been hanging up in my kitchen for the last 12 years & prior to that in Cathy's bedroom.
Cathy & I admired it in a shop display once & in the end the lady sold it to us.
I hope all our friends on the east coast of America aren't suffering too much damage & have some heat & light!
Three good things:
1. Our daughter Cathy has secured a full time Podiatry job with the NHS....as rare as hens teeth!!!
2. No need to go out in the cold today as Harry went & did the bit of shopping I needed for a full house B&B.
3. Henry has had his bedding changed & is all warm & dry.
What a fun thing to look at and remember! A daughter in Podiatry? Wonderful! My feet twitch just thinking about it! I have a daughter who is a licensed massage therapist...I love it when she was doing her training. On me.
@fannyb Only the weekly theme Fanny which is DOF this week. Full time work is something that took much thinking about but felt she couldn't turn it down..too good to miss & she needs the experience out in the real world now.
Oh well done Cathy - she is obviously quality stuff!! Love your little bird and I'm glad I don't need to worry about Henry for the winter!!! I've been out half the day - I worked out half way through that I really needed more clothes on.
@maggiemae I hung him on the kitchen rise &fall light so could just get him the right height. Nasty damp stain on the landing carpet, will have another go cleaning it tomorrow!
Such a sweet shot. I love that beautiful little nesting bird. I can see why you and Cathy were so taken by it back when. Cathy's new position is absolutely fantastic news!!! I know she is thrilled and you must be so proud! Also happy to hear that sweet Henry is dry and comfy in his freshly changed bed. :)
