This is Snow Hill in Scorton & climbs steeply up towards the Wyresdale fells & Harrisend Fell.
The building behind the war memorial is the village school, the children were on a break & you could hear laughing & chatter....I didn't like to get much nearer, a bit dodgy taking pictures any where near kids these days.
Three good things:
1. Out with friends tonight for a meal at the mushroom restaurant.
2. I have booked tickets to see our favourite Rod Stewart at the MEN next June...tickets went on sale this morning & practically sold out already!
3.Four lovely regular B&B's in for three nights , my last gasp before we go away.
@netkonnexion Well I never what a small world...I know Cock Robin Lane very well & of course go to Garstang every week! We used to live in Inglewhite but now near Great Eccleston.
Beautiful shot Pat, that red plant really makes it!!! ( i'm no P. Thrower)..sounds like a trippy evening, Rod will be terrific, and you, must be getting oh so excited!!!!
SO pretty in the sunshine. I know what you mean about getting closer - I had to abandon a shot of some ducks because it looked like I was pointing my camera at the play area in the park! Rod Stewart - 'I don't want to talk about it' I'm so jealous!! And that's my favourite song. Have thought aimlessly about getting tickets for my sister's 50th as she was a big fan but it sounds like aimless was no good!
Gorgeous colourful shot...such a sad state when we can no longer take pics of children....just rubbish Look at you,, Rod Stewart eh?? Little raver..what enormous fun, really envious! He was sucha a tart!! NO b&bs this weekend my young boys have left!!!
Love the red and the sunshine!! So glad you are out and about - have a lovely dinner tonight...don't overdo!!! And make sure they know their mushrooms (we had some deaths here recently when someone served mushrooms they had picked!)
Pat."have I told you lately" that."every picture tells a story".., , but hey "I don't wan't to talk about it", because , "I need a reason to believe", that you will "stay with me" on these comments dedicated to your trip to MEN in June !
great shot Pat - did I hear steep hill? If I was there i'd be forcing myself to get running up it! Nice colours and lines in this shot...Rod S will be great, lucky you
What a charming and picturesque scene. Love that cobbled walkway. And I am so jealous of those Rod Stewart tickets!!! Beyond jealous, actually turning green with envy. :)
