Had a long walk along the canal at Bilsborrow this afternoon. I took 131 photos so I had plenty to choose from.
Rather liked this one as it shows a good length of the canal.
I couldn't understand why all these ducks were in such excitement until I climbed up to the road & there was a young girl feeding them bread from the top of the bridge.
If you look large you can just see some big lanterns in a tree, this is where Cathy & Garth used to live when they first got married
Three good things:
1. I am loving my new lens & the freedom it gives you to zoom in & take photos of unsuspecting people with out their knowledge!!!
2. Coming home in the early evening & having a good nosy in peoples lighted windows!
3. Too much milk so I have made a rice pudding for tea.
Love your 3 things and so agree about looking through windows!! can't wait for my lens! this is so lovely Pat and looks fabulous large(as instructed!!) what a gorgeous day we've all had..beautiful
Nice and what a place to live! I'm enjoying my lens too - it's given me a new spring in my photographic step! I tend to walk around holding the camera rather than letting it swing round my neck but that's ok.
Yes, I like this pov very much - so much to see. I made a bread and butter pudding today using some fruit loaf which went wrong in the bread maker. It made a great pudding though.
@sparkle 55-250 Juliette. The funny thing is a friend had offered to give me a lens that she had off her camera she gave away & I had forgotten. I am seeing her tomorrow night & she said bring your camera & we'll try this lens!!! I will do my head in if it's the same lens!!!!
What a lovely place to walk! How wonderful that you have recovered so quickly to have the energy to do this! So I googled Bilsborrow and saw how close it is to Preston and remembered yesterday surfing the web and randomly coming across a video of a funny fellow named Graham Blackledge from Britain's Got Talent and in his interview he said he was from Preston. Small world!
@bpaquette Well that is a coincidence Barbara & nice to know you know exactly the area we live in. I can't remember the name of the guy from BGT but it's amazing what you learn on the web! We love BGT you see some odd acts!
Beautiful photo, love the POV. As for your #3. it brings back memories. My mother used to make a great rice pudding. Peg is lactose intolerant, and I can't in good conscience ask her to make it.
nice pond! so full of ducks! I am glad to read that I am not the only one to nosy into peoples windows!!! seriously, you just can't help it when the curtains are open and the lights are on...
Wonderfully detailed scene viewed large, I agree with you about looking into, windows , its always nice when they have the Christmas trees in the window
Lovely day here too.
And rice pudding sounds fab! I must make some soon!
